Saw a really nice article on java.net today called Kickstarting Google Web Toolkit on the Client Side. The author Simon Morris does a quick walkthrough for three small GWT projects. The first is the standard Helloworld type demo, but the second and third projects are simple text adventure game and another demo that does some animation. Source and Demo provided.

A preliminary Google Map API for GWT library has been put up on Sourceforge. The developer is looking for help so email him if he’s interested.
Check out the on the GWT developer forum. It has detailed instructions on how to download and use it.

The Colorado HomeFinder website has put up a real-life example of a GWT Mortgage calculator. The developer, Dan Moore is also blogging about his experiences with creating the example. He also includes the source. Go read the first and second installments. There is a lot of useful information here.
