Ed Burnette has written a book titled “Google Web Toolkit – Taking the pain out of Ajax” which is published by the Pragmatic Programmers. It is part of their Pragmatic Fridays series which are low cost, pdf only books.
This Friday provides you with a thorough introduction to the Google Web Toolkit. From installation, through your first application, to UI components and Remote Procedure calls, you’ll learn the ins and outs of the framework. Some knowledge of Java programming and HTML is assumed, but you don’t have to be an expert in web programming.
Ed runs the gwtPowered site which contains tons of resources on GWT. He’s also a well known member of the Eclipse community. The book is only $8.50, so check it out.
