Just read on the that GWT 1.4 has dropped its beta tag and the final is now available for download. Congratulations to all the GWT developers for all their hard work!

theClassConnection, is an online community, for students that allows them to easily manage their classes. Students can organize study groups, find tutors, store their files online and even study using the online flashcards. The site is built entirely with GWT as a single html/javascript file.

I tried the site out, and the interface is pretty cool. It makes good use of the Scriptaculous and Lightbox javascript libraries. I didn’t see much of the “community” aspects of the site, but that’s probably expected for such a recent launch.

Over at the Ajaxian, Dion Almaer has a short interview with Chris Klundt, the creator of theClassConnection. He even created a short video walking through some of the aspects of the site.
